MODERN SLAVERY

OUR POLICIES

1. Our Commitment

Tiffin Sandwiches Ltd is committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly and with integrity. We operate a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, forced labour, bonded labour, child labour and human trafficking in all aspects of our business and supply chain.

We recognise our responsibilities under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and are committed to preventing exploitation while promoting ethical employment, fair treatment and respect for human rights.

This statement has been published in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and updated guidance 1 December 2025 and sets out the steps taken by Tiffin Sandwiches Ltd to minimise the risk of modern slavery within our business and supply chains.

2. Our Organisation, Business and Supply Chains

Tiffin Sandwiches Ltd is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of fresh sandwiches, salads, wraps and food-to-go products supplying education, healthcare, travel, retail and commercial customers throughout the UK.

Our operations include manufacturing facilities, distribution depots and a nationwide logistics network supported by approved suppliers providing fresh ingredients, packaging, logistics, cleaning products, engineering services and labour where required.

3. Policies

Our commitment is supported by documented policies including: Modern Slavery Policy, Ethical Trading Policy, Equal Opportunities Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, Grievance Procedure, Recruitment & Selection Policy, Supplier Approval Procedure and Code of Conduct.

4. Due Diligence

We operate a structured supplier approval process including supplier onboarding, risk assessments, verification of certifications, supplier acceptance of our ethical trading requirements, ongoing supplier reviews and full traceability where applicable.

5. Risk Assessment and Risk Management

Higher risk areas include imported raw materials, labour-intensive agriculture, packaging manufacture and labour providers. Risks are mitigated through our Approved Supplier List, supplier monitoring, corrective action plans and removal of suppliers where serious non-compliance cannot be resolved.

6. Measuring Effectiveness

Effectiveness is monitored through supplier reviews, internal compliance audits, external BRCGS certification audits, whistleblowing reports, management reviews, corrective action monitoring and annual review of this statement. To date no instances of modern slavery have been identified within our directly employed workforce.

7. Training and Awareness

Employees receive induction covering ethical behaviour and reporting concerns. Managers and procurement teams receive awareness training on recognising modern slavery risks. Confidential whistleblowing arrangements are available to all employees.

8. Our Workforce

We undertake Right to Work checks, issue written contracts, comply with employment legislation, provide safe working conditions and ensure employees have access to grievance procedures without fear of retaliation.

9. Supply Chain Expectations

Suppliers are expected to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, prohibit forced labour and child labour, maintain safe workplaces, pay workers lawfully and cooperate with compliance requests. Failure may result in removal from our Approved Supplier List.

10. Continuous Improvement

We will continue to strengthen supplier engagement, review risk assessments annually, monitor legislative developments, update policies and enhance employee training.
